Father Sylvester and his new truck (read below)

I send greetings once again from Ghana to you and to all the parishioners of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish. I hope all of you are still doing well. I am doing well, and continue to do what I have to do. The parish is still much alive, with lots of activities by various groups going on. We have finished celebrating our laity week, catechetical week, and mission week programs. Each was marked with talks aimed educating our laity for a more fully active participation in the church. All these activities come at a time the Catholic Church in our Northern Province here in Ghana celebrates 100 years of existence. A fairly young church, isn't it? The Centenary Celebration is dubbed: 100 Years of Grace. We have indeed been blessed to have received the faith from the missionaries who gave up their very lives for us. And you guys at St. Luke's have continued in their footsteps through the much support you render to the mission world.
We are so grateful for your tireless support to us in the missions. I write on behalf of the entire people of this beloved parish, the parish partnership committee, and on my own behalf, to sincerely thank you for your generous support which has enabled us to purchase the parish pick-up truck. Your tremendous financial assistance helped us to realize our target, and made it possible for us to place the order for the truck. The much awaited parish means of transport has now arrived and we are very pleased to inform you that we have taken delivery of it. We thank you very much for your immense assistance. It is really beautiful, we are happy with it, and pray that it will survive the harsh conditions of our roads.
With lots of love from me, I remain sincerely yours in Christ,

Rev. Sylvester Kuubetersuur
