Ministry Sunday
Sharing God's Gifts

At St. Luke’s we are very blessed to have so many people sharing their gifts and talents with our parish family and beyond.  Everyone, young and old has a gift they can share. We are introducing two new ministries which we feel will add a new dimension to our parish.

Communications Task Force.  Communications is the heart of spreading the Gospels.  The role of the communications task force is to review and evaluate the tools and procedures used to interface with parishioners and to offer other ways that enrich our contact with our parish family.  The group will look at information vehicles like the Sunday bulletin and webpage, the possible use of other media, the parish computer system, email, and phone systems, the sound and lighting systems in church and any other tools we might use to more effectively enhance our contact with our             parishioners.  Parishioners of any age with technical and artistic skills are encouraged to help.

Liturgical Settings Committee This group will be asked to design and set up the liturgical settings in church throughout the year but especially around the major seasons, feasts and holy days.  Skills in design planning, floral arrangements, sewing, painting, carpentry or anyone interested in helping to make our church environment more attractive are encourage to join.

INTERESTED IN LEARING MORE ABOUT THE CATHOLIC FAITH?

Come join us for an RCIA informational meeting on Tuesday, October 2nd at 7:30PM in the Parish Center.    RCIA is the way many people have come into the church. We welcome all people interested in exploring what it means be Catholic, as well as Catholics who may have been baptized but have not received First Communion and/or Confirmation.   This is an informational meeting without any pressure to join.  Please spread the word.  If you have any questions, or would like more information, please call Mary Sanning (508) 898-0941 or one of the priests.

Safe Environment Class

Tuesday, Sept. 25 – St. Mary’s of the Hills, Boylston

Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7PM St Luke’s in the Parish Ctr. Please plan to attend one of these sessions.

Children’s Liturgy continues today during the 9AM Mass.  Children in Kindergarten through 6th Grade are invited to join us in the Parish Center directly from Mass when dismissed by our priest. No registration or sign up is required. Parents with 5 year olds are encouraged to come along with your children if you’d like to experience this Liturgy of the Word for children.
