PRAY FOR OUR BROTHERS & SISTERS IN NEED:
HAITI – Pray for the people of Haiti as the country struggles to establish a stable government.

GHANA: We ask you also to pray for Father Sylvester’s sister who died a while ago. Here name was Francisca and she was 35. Her death was especially tragic for the family since she was the only daughter in a family of six sons. Please remember Fr. Sylvester’s mother as she mourns the death of her daughter.

PAST EVENTS

Father Sylvester Was able to help his Ghana mission by buying a much needed truck with the gift our parishioners gave him in Easter of $6,000. He's sent us a picture of it. Click here or the truck drawing to see the photo.

LETTER FROM HAITI:

Most of the news of Haiti is not good. Emotions are raised with elections drawing close and we hear lots of heated arguments among our workers and around the streets. The violence continues along with kidnappings and shootings, and hardly a day goes by that Father Rick is not somehow involved in negotiating someone’s release or helping a poor victim of the shootings. The violence is affecting those close to us again and only yesterday, one of Father’s workers was kidnapped on his way to a funeral. He was bringing the body for burial and both he and the body along, with the family of the dead man, were taken. Thank God everyone was released within hours and only the vehicle was held. Please do keep us and Haiti in your prayers. Haiti is in desperate need of a strong honest government working for the people and we hope and pray there is some light at the end of the tunnel for these poor God fearing people.
