What place does the Bible have in your life? Taking part in Bible studies offered at St. Luke’s gives you an authentic understanding of Sacred Scripture, the heart of our Faith and relationship with God, leading us to experience the life-changing power of God’s Word. Study sessions range from long and short term studies of the Old and New Testament to shorter options that study individual books of the Bible with no biblical background necessary.

A foundational practice for growing in one’s faith at St. Luke’s is to have opportunities to study the Bible with sound teaching and within small group gatherings. St. Luke’s offers the Great Adventure Bible series to make the Bible more meaningful to parishioners.
The key to understanding the Bible is finding the story that ties it all together. The Great Adventure Bible Timeline Learning System makes the complexity of the Bible simple by helping you uncover the story woven throughout Scripture, so you can make sense of it. As you see the story unfold, you will see the “big picture” of the Bible. The Mass readings will begin to make more sense, your Scripture reading and study will come to life, and you will see God’s loving plan for your life. Most importantly, The Great Adventure studies will help you to grow in your relationship with God as you encounter him in Sacred Scripture.
HOW?~ breaks down the Bible by focusing on fourteen narrative books that tell the story of Scripture, from beginning to end.
~divides the Story into twelve time periods that act like chapters in salvation history.
~ ties all of Scripture together by following God’s “family plan” from Adam and Eve to Christ and the Church.
~ makes it easy to remember by color-coding each of the time periods.
Each session provides a video presentation and time to talk about discussion questions with participants in a small group. No pre-requisite Biblical knowledge is necessary. This is a wonderful way to inform your faith while meeting other parishioners!
