Over the years, St. Luke’s parish has been supporting the work of Father Sylvester Kuubetersuur in Ghana. We began around 2005 with funds to purchase a truck so Father could reach the distant missions around St Anne’s Cathedral parish. By 2010, we were sending regular Christmas and Easter donations to help with evangelizing the local population in this country of 26 million where 1.5 million live in extreme poverty. St. Luke’s spiritually and financially endorses Father Sylvester’s belief that when you help people with access to potable water, human services and education of the young, especially young girls, hope is enkindled and progress is made.
